My name is Mairéad Whelan and I have over 30 years’ experience training dogs.
Covering the South County Dublin/North Wicklow area, I believe a calm consistent approach is best for all dogs. I will lay down guidelines for you to put in place.
My approach is to use motivational rewards to strongly promote positive training and lay down guidelines for you to put in place.
Dogs should be an important member of your family. Giving you the foundations to build a happy life together, my mantra is “Calm, Confident, Consistent”.

Mairéad Whelan is based in Greystones, and worked with Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind as a Puppy Walking Supervisor and a Guide Dog Trainer for 9 years.

Mairead’s experience as a Puppy Walking Supervisor with Irish Guide Dogs highlighted the need for puppies to learn good manners and be sociable with people and other dogs. Puppy socialisation is the cornerstone of a well adjusted dog.
